On 23 December Artsakh Republic President Bako Sahakyan in the 6th congress of the Artsakh Union of Freedom Fighters launched in Stepanakert on the same day.
In his speech Bako Sahakyan considered important the role of war veterans and the organization itself in the process of state building and socio-economic development of our republic.
The Head of the State underlined that the activities directed to provide healthcare to the freedom fighters, improve their social and living conditions were constantly at the spotlight of the authorities.
The President also handed in state awards to a group of freedom fighters.
Primate of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan, NKR National Assembly chairman Ashot Ghoulyan, prime-minister Ara Haroutyunyan, defense minister Movses Hakobyan and other officials partook in the event.
