On 11 December President Bako Sahakyan signed a decree according to which serviceman of the Nagorno Karabagh Republic Defense Army's N division Vardan Vardanyan was posthumously awarded with the "For Service in Battle" medal for bravery shown during the defense of the NKR state border.
