Today the Armenian representative to Eurovision 2011 Emmy was received by Orange at its Flagship where Emmy met with her fans and journalists. This was the last meeting of Emmy with her fans and journalists before leaving for Düsseldorf. Tomorrow Emmy will be already in Germany to participate in the tryouts and get prepared for this big European music contest. During this meeting Orange, the second time the general partner of Eurovision in Armenia, also presented the events and surprises it has prepared for the fans of Eurovision in May. Aram Mkrtchyan, Orange Armenia Marketing Director, said: “We are proud to support this contest in Armenia for already the second time. This is a very important contest that allows the most talented musicians to be known all over the Europe and in the same time it contributes to country’s image. This year by the support of Orange the Armenian representative to Eurovision had a number of prmo tours to different countries of Europe, and in Moldova she was received by Orange Moldova. I’m sure that due to all these visits and our joint efforts Armenia will gain high points.” Orange has prepared a special surprise for one of the members of the General Organization for Eurovision Fans in Armenia (Organisation Générale des Amateurs de l’Eurovision) Mariam Alexanyan. The active representatives of this Armenian association, who from the very first year of participation of Armenia in Eurovision Song Contest have been gathering around them the fans of this music event and by every means have been supporting the Armenian representatives to Eurovision, were noticed by Orange still last year. For the members of this association the presence in the Eurovision of this year was more than important, as only being personally present in the worldwide meeting of OGAE would enable them to gain the status of the OGAE’s official representative in Armenia. Because of lack of financial means they were obliged to accept the fact that they could not be present at the meeting. Taking into consideration the importance of this meeting for young Eurovision fans, Orange decided to grant them a ticket for this very much desired trip. Aram Mkrtchyan, Orange Marketing Director said: “It’s a great joy for us to help these young people to bring to life their dreams. By this we’ll also help OGAE to realize itself and become stronger. But those who will not have the chance to go to Düsseldorf, also will be the participant of this big event. Like last year this year as well Orange has planned to organize public watching of Eurovision in the two cities of Armenia, which will enable everyone to support together the Armenian participant.” May 14, the day of the transmission of the final of Eurovision, will be unforgettable for the residents of Yerevan and Vanadzor with its new colors and various events. A “Eurovision” concert will be held in Yerevan with participation of the Armenian pop singers as well as with the Armenian representatives to Eurovision of the previous years. In Vanadzor, before the start of the live transmission of the final of Eurovision Song Contest, the residents of Vanadzor will be provided the chance to participate in an open-air music event with participation of well-known DJs. Starting from today, Boom-Boom is available on Orange music platforms: it can be downloaded from WAP portal or set as a Rong Back Tone.
