The internal investigation, which was launched in connection with the break-out of two prisoners sentenced to life imprisonment - Soghomon Kocharian and Mher Yenokian from Nubarashen penitentiary on November 27, has been completed. According to a December 8 press release of the RA Ministry of Justice, on the instructions of Head of the Ministry's Criminal-Executive Department, Major General A. Gizirian, disciplinary penalties have been imposed on some employees of the penitentiary for the improper performance of their official duties. The following employees of Nubarashen penitentiary: the head of the security unit, the head of the unit on convicts sentenced to life imprisonment, the chief expert, the duty group's specialist of first category, the security unit's specialist of third category, and two junior specialists were dismissed from their jobs. The deputy head, the officer of the duty group, the head and the chief expert of the operative unit were demoted to lower positions. Two senior experts of the unit on convicts sentenced to life imprisonment received severe reprimands.
