Օn the occasion of Europe Day, the European Union Delegation to Armenia announces an open youth video competition on the theme "My Europe in 120 Seconds". The contest is aimed at revealing how different young people perceive Europe and how they creatively express their thoughts and feelings about EU-Armenia cooperation. The winner will receive an Apple iPad. “It is the first youth contest of its kind organized by the Delegation, and we hope that it will support the development of EU-Armenian cooperation, as well as will intensify the role of youth in the integration process. We wish good luck to all the participant,” said Mr. Raul de Luzenberger, Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Armenia. "My Europe in 120 Seconds" contest is open to all Armenian nationals or residents irrespective of experience in video-making - both amateurs and professionals can participate. Any type of camera or mobile phone, software and other resources can be used. The deadline for submissions is 24:00 (Yerevan time) on 9 May 2011, Europe Day. The participants will need to prepare a short video (up to 2 minutes), upload it on YouTube, fill in the application form, including the link to the video, and send it to Delegation-Armenia@eeas.europa.eu. The video should address some or all of the following topics: - The European Union – what is it to you and how close or far is it to you? - How do you see EU - Armenia relations and cooperation? - European values – what are they? - Who are the Europeans and are we Europeans? Videos can be in Armenian, Russian or English. They can also be without words. Creative approaches are encouraged. The Application form and Video submission guidelines can be found at http://europeinarmenia.wordpress.com. The winner will be selected by a panel of judges, based on the relevance and creativity of the entry, as well as the number of votes (“likes”) the video receives by the deadline of the contest (24:00 on 9 May 2011) on YouTube and the event’s official Facebook page. The results will be announced at the celebration of Europe Day on 21 May 2011 at the Lovers’ Park.
