YEREVAN, APRIL 24, NOYAN TAPAN. An action of protest was organized on April 23 in front of the U.S. Embassy in Yerevan on the initiative of the first Armenian social website, hayland.am in memory of the victims of the 1915 Armenian Genocide and as a mention to the United States, in the person of its newly elected President Barack Obama, to remain loyal to his promise, to recognize the fact of Armenian Genocide. A number of NGOs and youth organizations had joined hayland.am's initiative. Demonstrants stood in silence in front of the Embassy with the placards "The time of changes has come," "Join the truth, recognize the Genocide," "Remember your promise, recognize the Genocide," then the "time of changes" was announced with 100 alarm-clocks' bells. At the end of the action the demonstrants let off balloons with the writing "When will the time of changes come?"
