On 2 April President of the Artsakh Republic Bako Sahakyan visited the villages of Avetaranots and Aknakhbyur of the Askeran region and met with representatives of the communities. In the village of Avetaranots the President inspected activities of the newly-opened wood-processing factory of the “Techno-wood” Co Ltd. Subsequently the Head of the State met with residents and community heads of Avetaranots and the Aknakhbyur sub-district. Bako Sahakyan noted that Avetaranots was considered among the established communities of Artsakh always playing an important role in our country's history. At the same time both the Avetaranots and Aknakhbyur villages face issues that require coordinated solution on the part of central, regional and local governing bodies. The President especially mentioned the importance of showing initiative approaches boosting activities on sites. Premier Ara Haroutyunyan and other officials accompanied the President during the visit, reported the Central Information Department of the Office of the Artsakh Republic President.
