DAYS OF EUROPEAN HERITAGE TO BE HELD ON SEPTEMBER 29-30 IN

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 27, NOYAN TAPAN. Armenia will join the
Days of European Heritage, which officially started on September
21 in Belgrade, with an event to be held on September 29 at the
National Museum-Institute of Architecture. This European
cultural event will be held in Armenia under the title "Handmade
and Non-handmade Heritage."
As Gagik Gyurjian, the RA Deputy Minister of Culture,
reported at the September 27 press conference, the Days of
European Heritage held from September to November every year
under the aegis of the European Union unite 49 countries-members
of the European Cultural Convention. According to him, events
held under the motto "Europe: General Heritage" are the best
means of getting acquainted and evaluating various nations'
history and culture.
Bojana Urumova, the Special Representative of the Secretary
General of the Council of Europe in Armenia, said that the goal
of the event is to preserve endangered historic and cultural
heritage, as well as to promote tolerance between neighboring
countries and peoples.
It should be mentioned that entrance to all museums and
reserve-museums functioning within the jurisdiction of the RA
Ministry of Culture and Ministry of Environmental Protection
will be free within the framework of the Days of European
Heritage to be held on September 29-30 in Armenia.
