YEREVAN, JANUARY 16, NOYAN TAPAN. By the data of the State Register of Legal Entities and Private Businessmen of the RA Ministry of Justice, in January-November 2006, 2,762 commercial legal entities and 6,858 private businessmen got registered in Armenia, and their total number made 53,736 and 52,066 respectively as of December 1, 2006. According to the RA National Statistical Service, as of December 1, 2005, 52,380 legal entities and 71,293 private businessmen were registered: in a year the number of legal entities grew by about 2.6%, that of private businessmen declined by about 27%. In January-November 2006, 1,452 legal entities and 26,557 private businessmen were liquidated. Investments of 16 bln 427.3 mln drams (more than 39 mln USD) were made by 2,762 legal entities registered in the indicated period of 2006. Investments of 1 bln 56.4 mln drams wer made in 151 enterprises founded only by foreign legal entities and citizens, and investments of 343.5 mln drams were made in 133 joint ventures.
