STARTING 2007 SCHOOL-LEAVING EXAMINATIONS AT SECONDARY
SCHOOLS TO BE HELD BY CENTRALIZED SYSTEM

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 23, NOYAN TAPAN. At the November 23
sitting, the Armenian government made amendments to the protocol
No 14 of the governmental sitting on April 14, 2005.
Particularly, the amendments envisage that starting 2007, the
state school-leaving examinations for secondary school-leavers
will be gradually held by a centralized system. NT was informed
about it from the RA Government Information and PR Department.
It has been stipulated in the section "Scholl-Leaving
Examination at Secondary Schools" that among the examinations
indicated in the list, examinations on the Armenian language, the
history of Armenia, mathematics, and a foreign language are
compulsory for all secondary school-leavers, while those who
want to continue their education at a higher educational
institution may choose one more subject in addition the
compulsory one - a subject corresponding to the chosen
speciality.
Under the decision, the subject "The History of Armenia"
has been added in the section "School-Leaving Examinations at
Secondary Schools".
