EXISTS IN YEREVAN, AND FOR DOCTORS, PHARMACISTS AND TEACHERS IN
MARZES

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 20, NOYAN TAPAN. 6986 people looking for
a job in Armenia got down to work in January-October 2006,
instead of 6589 people of the same period of time of the
previous year. As the Noyan Tapan correspondent was informed by
the RA "State Employment Service," women make 60% of people
taken into service. 20.9% of people looking for job got down to
work in the sphere of industry, 19.1% in the sphere of trade and
public catering, 10% in the sphere of construction, 6.5% in the
education sphere, 5.4% in the sphere of transport and
communication.
763 unemployed people were involved in the professional
training programs during the same months. 410 people were
involved with the financial resources of the RA state budget,
and 353 people with financial resources of the Social Security
State Fund. 7913 people looking for a job were involved in paid
public works.
As of November 1, the monthly average number of vacancies
presented by employers made 1362. If demand for specialists of
working and service spheres makes a great per cent (92.3%) in
Yerevan, demand for doctors, pharmacists and teachers mainly
prevails in marzes (46.2%).
It was also mentioned that within the framework of the
"School Staff Optimalization and Assistance" program, 3093
people from dismissed 7242 teachers addressed to the territorial
employment services and were registered. 64 people from them
made use of the "Moving Grant" program, 913 people made use of
the additional payments, 518 people were involved in the
professional training programs, 15 people got psychological
assistance.
