YEREVAN, OCTOBER 13, NOYAN TAPAN. The 27th conference of
the Justice Ministers of European countries will not remain
without consequences for Armenia: positive experience of all
countries, expressed opinions will certainly be taken into
account, legislative amendments will also be made. RA Justice

summing up press conference.

representatives of the 46 member states of the Council of Europe
discussed the very modern theme: "Victims: Place, Rights and
Assistance." A special attention was paid to issues of
assistance to victims of crimes, family violence, preventing
criminal. It was mentioned that the next conference will take
place in late 2007 or early 2008 on the Canary Isls.
Responding correspondents' questions, the RA Justice
Minister mentioned that practice of assisting victims has been
used in a number of countries for about 3 dozens of years. In
that sense, in the Minister's words, the experience of Austria,
Belgium, Great Britain is model one. He emphasized that the same
process must not be in Armenia of immediate, single character,
but must be implemented by a constantly functioning state
structure. "You will be witnesses of the first steps soon,
during the coming 2 months," D.Haroutiunian assured.
