MARINA VARDANIAN FROM YEREVAN AWARDED MISS ARMENIA 2006

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 10, NOYAN TAPAN. Miss Armenia 2006 beauty contest took place on October 9, at A.Spendiarian National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet. 23 girs from Armenia and Artsakh aged from 17 to 25 took part in the contest. The contest consisted of two stages. Marina Vardanian was awarded Miss Armenia 2006 title out of 7 girls paving passed to the second stage. The latter also received prizes of Spectator's Sympathy and Miss Press. Marina Vardanian has graduated from Yerevan State University Russian Language and Literature Department. Rita Tsaturian from Artsakh was awarded the title of Vice-Miss. R.Tsaturian is in the 4th year of YSU Romance and Germanic Philology Department and dreams of continuing her studies in Europe. Actress Tatevik Karakhanian (Yerevan) was awarded the title Miss Attraction and Mary Minasian (Vayots Dzor), student of Yerevan State Linguistic University after V.Brusov, was awarded the title Miss Solidarity. Karen Aristakesian, Chairman of Miss Armenia national agency, said that in late October M.Vardanian will take part in Miss Europe 2006 contest with beauties of 46 countries of the world.
