YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 25, NOYAN TAPAN. A jubilee memorial event dedicated to RA Honored Artist Lusya Hovhannisian's 80th birth anniversary was held on September 25 at the Armenian Union of Theatrical Figures. In the words of Union Chairman Yervand Ghazanchian, Lusya Hovhannisian was witness of the golden age of the first national theater. The prominent actress is one of the exclusive ones who acted on the stage with such actors as Vahram Papazian, Hrachya Nersisian, Vagharsh Vagharshian, Olga Gulazian, Avet Avetisian. During her half-century stage activity the actress played many roles. Many of them were proved by time and took their constant place in the history of Armenian theater. The role of Masha played by the actress in the "Live Corpse," Shamiram in "Ara the Beautiful," Hayastan in "Ghazar Goes to War," Volunya in "Koriolan" and other roles were highly estimated by theater critics. "There were no secondary or leading parts for her. She played all her roles with greatest devotion and love," Y.Ghazanchian emphasized. It was mentioned that the actress had a great contribution to development of Armenian TV and radio theater where she played about 100 roles.
