GORIS, MAY 2, NOYAN TAPAN. The RA Minister of Culture and Youth Issues Gevorg Gevorgian, accompanied by a group of art workers, paid a working visit to Syunik marz on April 29-29. While in Goris, he met with the regional governor of Syunik, heads of the city communities and cultural institutions of the marz. Gevorg Gevorgian pointed out the necessity to work out a Armenian cultural program which will allow to introduce and develop the cultural ideology. "I think administrative resources, NGOs should be used to make television companies broadcast more Armenian and classical music. The mass media should cover more extensively the problems of the cultiral sphere," the minister said. According to heads of the regional cultural institutions, it is impossible to stand competition with the current equipment and financial resources, for example, to stage new plays or organize new events. A decision was made to develop a program with the aim of promoting the cultural life in the marz.
