YEREVAN, JANUARY 27, NOYAN TAPAN. The elections of Yerevan State University (YSU) Council Chairman were held on January 27. Serge Sargsian, Chairman of National Security Council under RA President, RA Defence Minister, was elected Council Chairman through secret ballot. To recap, the YSY former Rector Radik Martirosian's candidature (the only one nominated) was voted down at the Council's January 16 sitting. 35 out of 67 Council members present at the sitting voted against, 32 for and 5 abstained from voting.
