1 MLN USD ALLOCATED FROM RA STATE BUDGET FOR RESTORATION OF
5 HISTORIC AND CULTURAL MONUMENTS AND CHURCHES

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 4, NOYAN TAPAN. 1 mln USD was allocated
from RA state budget for the purpose of restoring and repairing
5 historic and cultural monuments and churches. The restoration
of the Amberd church complex has started at present, after which the
palace and bath-house will be partially restored until 2008.
As Noyan Tapan was informed by Gagik Gyurjian, RA Deputy
Minister of Culture and Youth Affairs, 100 thousand USD was
allocated only for restoration of Amberd in 2005. According to
him, sums will be allocated from state resources every year
until 2008 for restoration of this historic and cultural
complex.
The restoration of the Spitakavor church in Vayots Dzor,
Dashtadem castle and Kurtan Hnevank has also started.
