The imported vaccines against 10 diseases for agricultural animals have already been divided among all the regions of the country were the inoculation activities have already begun and will continue. Vaccines distribution was carried out according to the information on the number of animals given by the National Statistic Service. The seven of the vaccines are preventive, two-diagnostic, and one is healing. On April 11, the State Service of Food Safety (SSFS) of RA Ministry of Agriculture has been given 382 000 dose anti-tanner vaccine by the UNO Food and Agriculture Organization. On April 29, 400000 doses were also gained. On May, 6 vaccines and 2 diagnostic means were also gained. Hovhannes Mkrtchyan, the head of SSFS Veterinary Inspectorate declared at the press conference held on June 9, that there has been recorded no decline of animals due to an acute infection in the Republic up to now. “We fight against the main acute infectious diseases. For example, inoculation against tanner is completed by 98%. There are also non-infectious diseases which are not included in this project, but if it is possible we support,” said the head of the Inspectorate. According to him the Inspectorate controls the work carried out in the territory of the Republic not to leave any object or a villager out. Yes, there have been warning calls about the cases of animal decline by villagers, but H. Mkrtchyan assured that they are not the results of the infection. H. Mkrtchyan mentioned that vaccinations against 10 diseases are carried out by the state funding and “There is no need to pay somebody for something”.
