ATHENS, August 19 (Noyan Tapan). Boxer Alexan Nalbandian (48-kilogram weight class) successfully started the contention in the 28th summer Olympic Games in Athens. He held the first meeting with French Asloum Renoidie and won. Representative of Iraq will be Nalbandian's rival in 1/8 finals. Weight-lifter Gevorg Alexanian (77-kilogram weight class) will step onto stage on August 19 late evening. Tigran Martirosian (85-kilogram weight class), another Armenian representative, will step onto stage on August 21, and Ashot Danielian (over 105 kilograms) will step onto stage on August 25. Wrestlers of the Graeco-Roman style will start the contention on August 24, and free-style wrestlers - on August 27.
