YEREVAN, May 6 (Noyan Tapan). 14 out of 36 participants of
the international chess tournament that finished in the Italian
city of Cutro were grand masters. That's why the victory of
grand master Karen Movsisian, an Armenian representative, looks
more considerable. In the competition of chess-players from 18
countries the Yerevan grand master won six out of nine games,
drew three games and, earning 7.5 points, placed first.
Five participants Vladimir Yepishin (Russia), Igor
Miladinovic (Greece), Karlos Garsia (Argentina), Dragisha
Blagoevic (Serbia and Chernogoria) and Vasilis Kotronias
(Cyprus) shared 2-5 places, earning 6.5 points each.
