Dear Partner, Oxfam in Armenia and the UN House in Armenia have the pleasure to invite you to take part in the series of events highlighting the International Day of Eradication of Poverty, which will be held in Yerevan and the regions of Shirak and Vayots Dzor within 13 – 17 October 2011. The implementing partners of the events are the Civil Society Partnership Network, founded by OXFAM, as well as several other national and international organizations. The events will be held under the slogan of “Let’s GROW more and feed our country” of OXFAM’s global GROW campaign which, as important poverty reduction objectives, calls for promoting the local food production, as well as improving the food production, consumption, distribution and its management, reducing the disaster risks and preventing the negative impact of climate change on agriculture. In this regard, we highly appreciate the participation of the representatives of the Armenian Government and the donor organizations, the diplomatic missions accredited in Armenia, the civil society organizations and the beneficiaries of programs implemented by OXFAM and UN in Armenia to this important event.
