On November 29 RA NA President Hovik Abrahamyan received the Special Representative of the European Union for the South Caucasus Peter Semneby. According to NA President, Armenia attaches importance to the relations with the European Union and its continuous deepening. In Hovik Abrahamyan’s word, during the last years the developing and getting new dynamics political dialogue has been laid at new qualitative level with the launching of the Eastern Partnership. The Special Representative of the European Union for the South Caucasus, Ambassador Peter Semneby reaffirmed the growing interest of the European Union in the regional problems and the willingness in deepening the relations with Armenia. During the meeting issues regarding the normalization of the Armenian-Turkish relations and regional problems were discussed. The parties expressed conviction that the development of the parliamentary diplomacy in the region and the activation of the inter-parliamentary relations with different formats would promote the settlement of numerous problems. The parties also touched upon issues concerning the fulfillment of Armenia’s assumed obligations before the World Trade Organization and issues stemming from the EU Association Agreement.
