Revenues of Armenian state budget amount to 415.5 billion
drams in January-August 2009

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 2, NOYAN TAPAN. The RA state budget's
revenues amounted to 415.5bn drams, expenditures - 494.5n drams
in January-August 2009, which ensured the implementation of the
9-month program approved by the government by 77.7% and 81.4%,
respectively. The annual programmed indices of the state budget
were executed by 46.2% (revenues) and 55.2% (expenditures).
According to the press service of the RA Ministry of
Finance, state budget revenues declined by 14% or 67.8bn drams
as compared with the same period of 2008.
In particular, there was a 18.8% fall (by 74.7bn drams) in
taxes and duties and a 8% decline in official grants which
amounted to 2.8bn drams. In the same period the compulsory
social security payments and other revenues grew by 1.2bn drams
(1.8%) and 5.9bn drams (33.1%), respectively. Taxes and duties
accounted for 77.8% of state budget revenues, compulsory social
security payments for 15.8%, other revenues for 5.7% and
official grants for 0.7% of state budgetary revenues.
Under Article 9 Point 18 of the RA Law on the 2009 State
Budget of the Republic of Armenia, the financial resources of
the off-budget funds of state institutions, whose revenues made
11.1bn drams in the reporting period of 2009 as compared to
10.5bn drams last year, were also included in the state budget.
