YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 19, NOYAN TAPAN. Young film producer Gor
Baghdasarian has winned the contest of short films under the
title Tolerance Without Limits for his scenario Playing Ground.
The summing up of the results of the contest Tolerance
Without Limits and the prize distribution ceremony took place
at the UN Office on November 16, on the occasion of the
International Tolerance Day.
"Tolerance is a crammed property, a virtue that requires
honest efforts from each person. Time, as well as readiness is
required for forming real tolerance," Consuelo Vidal, the UN
Resident Coordinator and the UNDP Resident Representative to
Armenia, said.
The jury had selected 7 out of 12 bids introduced for the
contest. According to Susanna Haroutiunian, the Art Director of
the Golden Apricot (Voske Tsiran) international film festival,
all seven projects having passed preliminary selection were very
interesting and worthy of being shot. "Really, it was very
difficult to choose the best one, and we will try to exert all
possible efforts to fulfil the other projects as well," she
emphasized.
The contest was held on the initiative of the Directors
Without Limits organization and the Golden Apricot Cinema
Development Fund, with the support of the UNDP Armenian
Office and OSCE Yerevan Office.
