ARMENIAN DEPUTY GRAVELY INJURED BY FIRE-ARMS AT MOSCOW'S
METROPOL GAMBLING HOUSE

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 26, NOYAN TAPAN. RA National Assembly
deputy, businessman Tigran Arzakantsian was injured by fire-arms
at the Metropol gambling house in the center of Moscow early in
the morning of September 25. According to Russian media, the
41-year-old businessman was taken to Sklifasovski Ambulance
Institute, where he was operated on.
According to witnesses, at about 4:00 am by Moscow time a
quarrel started among three visitors of the gambling house
having Caucasian appearance, as a result of which one of them
shot at the other three times. The suspect left the scene and
has not been arrested so far. A criminal case has been
instituted on the occasion of the case.
It is also reported that T. Arzakantsian, who was in Moscow
on private affairs, the day before the incident took part in the
meeting of RA governmental delegation with Armenian students
studying in Moscow.
