YEREVAN, JANUARY 16, NOYAN TAPAN. In 2006 Zvartnots international airport served 1 mln 125.7 thousand passengers, which exceeds previous year's index by 143 thousand. At that, 562.8 thousand passengers departed from Zvartnots airport and 562.9 thousand passengers arrived in the airport last year against 564 thousand and 547.9 thousand passengers, respectively, of 2005. According to the data of RA Civil Aviation General Department, cargo transportation made 9282 thousand tons, which grew by 163 tons as compared with 2005. 6746 take-offs-landings were implemented in Zvartnots in 2006, which reduced by 151 as compared with the previous year. 46.4 thousand passengers were served in Gyumri's Shirak airport in 2006, which is more by 300 passengers as compared with the previous year. And cargo transportation decreased by 128 tons and amounted to 19 tons.
