YEREVAN, MARCH 23, NOYAN TAPAN. According to Aravot daily's
March 23 publication, RA National Security Service
Lieutenant-Colonel Yuri Wolfson, defendant on a case examined
the day before at Avan and Nor Nork communities' first
instance court, stated that part of arms found at his apartment
after searching it, which was not registered, is connected with
Shahen Hovasapian's murder. Commenting upon this statement at
Noyan Tapan correspondent's request, RA Prosecutor General's
Spokesperson Sona Truzian considered it groundless. In her
words, with this statement the defendant wants to drag out the
trial on the case instituted against him.
To recap, Shahen Hovasapian, Head of Investigation
Department of RA State Tax Service, was killed on September 6,
2006 and the protocol of search at Y. Wolfson's apartment was
made up on September 16, 2005.
